The Academy, an
outstanding example of Neoclassic architecture, is on the
National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by renowned
architect Philip Shutze and completed in 1941 as the home
of the Medical Association of Atlanta, then the Fulton County Medical
Society. The Academy, nearly 60 years old, was placed on the
National Register of Historic Places due to its beautiful
composition and neoclassic architecture.
